Member Appreciation Week: Arboretum Tour at Metro Community College
Join Nebraska Statewide Arboretum as we explore the green spaces of Metropolitan Community College led by MCC Arboretum curator, Kristina Engler. The historical site of Fort Omaha is the setting for the MCC Arboretum, an affiliate site of Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. The arboretum site encompasses five acres of the 70-acre campus. Metro's arboretum offers a profusion of trees, plants and shrubs; some that have existed on the site for over 100 years. As both a historic site and learning laboratory, this environment presents educational opportunities for their students that aren't available anywhere else.
This is a walking tour, so wear your comfy walking shoes and be prepared for Nebraska weather!
