Your Garden Can Contribute to a Healthier Environment

The My Garden Affiliate Site Program is designed for home gardeners seeking to use their private gardens to create a more resilient environment. The goal of the program is to allow you to share the hard work you’re doing to create a garden that supports wildlife, minimizes negative environmental impacts, and makes you want to spend more time in your outdoor spaces.

Note: My Garden affiliates are private, home gardens. If you operate a public garden or want your private acreage to be an affiliate, please apply for one of our other affiliate levels: Landscape Steward Affiliate & Accredited Arboretum Affiliate. Addresses of My Garden affiliates will NOT be listed or accessible to the general public.

My Garden affiliates will receive:

  • A yard sign indicating affiliate status
  • A quarterly email newsletter with the latest seasonal gardening tips
  • One free registration to either PlantNebraska's annual garden walk in Omaha OR Lincoln
  • Invitations to show off your garden in community garden tours
  • Opportunity to purchase metal affiliate signage

The best benefit of the program, however, is the statewide network of Nebraskans using gardening to be better stewards of the landscape.

To become a My Garden Affiliate, complete this application or the online application below and send it with the required attachments for review. If your garden is accepted, you will sign a Memorandum of Understanding and pay dues of $45 – these are due annually – to continue the benefits and receive a new yard sign every year.

AND you’ll be part of this statewide network of private gardens working together towards greener, more beneficial landscapes.
