We partner with two foundations: The University of Nebraska Foundation and the Nebraska Community Foundation. Planned gifts of securities, real estate, retirement assets, cash, life insurance, Ag Commodities, stock or tangible property can be given through both foundations.

Gene PetersonGene Petersen was a supporter of what's now called PlantNebraska (formerly the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum) and spent many hours walking Maxwell Arboretum on UNL's East Campus, as well as many other arboretums and natural places across the state. He took great pride in cultivating a sizeable prairie on his acreage, and he also served as administrator of a Facebook group dedicated to native plants of the Midwest, where he was greatly appreciated for his vast knowledge. Gene's passion for Nebraska native trees and plants was something he loved to share with others.
