You're invited to join PlantNebraska for "Trees, Prairie & Community” on Wednesday, September 30 in Ogallala. The activities, which include a tour of Tri-Trails Park and a presentation on buffalo grass and prairie seeding, are free and open to the public. 

Tri-Trails Park Tour
8:30-10:30 am. 
Explore Tri-Trails Park (located 1 mile south of W County Rd 80, off Lawrence Rd.) on this guided tour and learn about the three historic trails that intersect there—the Oregon Trail, Pony Express Trail and Great Western Cattle Trail – as well as the park’s diverse collection of trees and plantings, waterwise landscape improvements, historic markers and ongoing stewardship.

PlantNebraska Sustainable Landscape Specialist Brad Kindler will offer insights on planting and maintaining buffalo grass, establishing prairie and approaches to creating more waterwise landscapes in western Nebraska.
