Visit Southeast Nebraska Gardens

Every NSA garden is unique in appearance and mission. Each seeks to emphasize the beauty and uniqueness of their town, to demonstate good plant and practices for their region and to serve the goals of the community. Garden gatherings Oct. 12 will celebrate fall at:
9:00-10:30 a.m. at Peru State College. Enjoy fall color at one of the great tree settings in the state that hosts some state champion trees and rare species of flowering dogwoods and oaks. Meet at campus entry plaza, 5th St. and Park Ave.
11:30-1 p.m. in Humboldt. MOVED. Dedication of Southeast Nebraska Cancer Memorial Garden MOVED to the Ag Building, 1034 4th, two blocks east of Hwy 105 on 4th ST. A light lunch will be provided.
1:30-4 p.m. in Brownville. MOVED to Schoolhouse Gallery at the Furnas Arboretum, 5th and Main St.
5-7:30pm in Stella. Art show with work by area artists, tours of the garden and refreshments. The Stella Arboretum was originally planted for the elementary school which was later closed down. But the garden continues strong as a community gathering spot and treasure. This event highlights the work of area artists, along with the fall beauty of the garden. Meet at the Garden on the north side of town, just west of 8th and Main St.
