13: Weeds

Hanna's milkweed vine growing through a fence and Sarah's bindweed crop in her front yard.

Have weeds? Looks like you’re a gardener! And you’re not doing it wrong- there’s no way to have a garden and not pull some weeds. But we can be intentional about how much work we do and which weeds we fight or accept. Also, we complain a little about the weeds we are struggling with and how our relationship to our neighbor’s garden styles influences our yards.

Weeds Hanna is fighting:

clover (in select places)
crabgrass
nutsedge
milkweed vine (not your regular milkweed)
hackberry seedlings

Weeds Sarah is fighting:

bindweed
crabgrass
marestail
cleavers
dayflower
mulberry seedlings
